[When the communicator switches on you get a zoom in on a lot of blonde hair. It takes a couple of seconds for Kara to move so you get to see her face instead of only her hair.]

Right, sorry. I don't usually use phones I like face-to-face better- but anyway. I have a couple of questions. And most of them sound pretty much like 'what is this and why am I here'.

[She frowns, one hand on her hip.]

So can we start with getting those two out of the way? Okay, thanks to whoever answers. I mean I know I’m probably being kidnapped for ransom but who’s actually stupid enough to kidnap Supergirl of all people and expects to get away with it. Luthor, I swear if it it’s you…

Speaking of Supers, I’d also like to know what on Argon happened-

[And she pauses, wrinkling her nose. She’s not stupid enough to let it show she is almost powerless out of the blue to people she doesn’t even know, so she switched mid-sentence.]

…to my parents and my cousin. You see, I was in the middle of a family reunion, and I don’t know if bad guys get many of those but ‘sorry I was busy getting kidnapped’ will prooobably not work with my mom.

So, to summarize: Where am I, why am I here, and whose butts do I have to kick to get back to my family?

Yeah. We're all fine, really. Bart even had the place cleaned up in no time.

[She sighs, relieved] ugh, okay. Okay.

But it's better if you don't tell me much about the future. So I will try not to ask.

[ Biting down on her lower lip, she stares at the other blonde for a couple of seconds before giving in to the question she wants to ask. ]

Do you have any idea why you'd be here? [ She still asks somewhat tentatively though. ]

[She shakes her head.] No. And it's honestly pissing me off- nobody can tell me why.

I mean I know I have issues... but this is kind of overdoing it.

No kidding. Maybe I can talk to the Admiral, and take a look at your file.

Oh! Could you do that?! You'd be the best friend ever if you did Cassie.

Speaking of best friends... [ She studies Kara for a long moment before continuing. ] I guess last time you saw me we didn't leave on the best of terms. [ She hopes not.. But she's pretty sure that's the case. ] We actually, I was a gigantic asshole who pushed you away, Tim too-- [ She shakes her head and starts off again. ]

My point is, to this day, that was still one of the worst mistakes I ever made. And I'm really sorry. [ Can these girls hug enough? ~~Get a room~~ ]

[Kara stops smiling instantly, but she doesn't hesitate to return the hug.]

I- [She wrinkles her nose, pondering how to word it.] I wasn't mad, not really. I... I had said worse things to you before and you'd forgiven me. It hurt, but... [She reaches to pull some hair away from her face] Friends forgive each other, right?

[ Cassie nods firmly. ]Right.

[ Her smile is uncontrollable. And huge, even if she doesn't necessarily think Kara's rught when saying she's said worse. ]

I'll get right on your file. Hopefully I can get to it before you're assigned a warden, if not-- Not a problem. [ Shrug. It will make her job harder. But for her best friend, that's okay. ]

[She squeezes her before letting her go, and entwining their arms together. ]

If I get a Warden they can tell me what I need to change, right? It will be fine. And at least I'm not like, alone in this place.

Definitely not alone.

Let's hope things are that easy for your Warden. Who ever they are, they're going to be pretty lucky with an inmate like you. Things can get pretty out of control with some of the more dangerous and criminally inclined inmates. Not all the time or anything, every once in a while.

Well, maybe they aren't expecting my awesomeness and superpowers. I mean, that could throw off every warden.

[Anytime Kara gets nervous, she babbles. And it shows.]

Yeah. In a good way.
